The rules for using Cali Review, in plain words.
These terms say who may use Cali Review, that an account is for one student, how plans and the 15-day refund work, and what we ask of you in return. They are short on purpose.
Who may use Cali Review
Cali Review is a digital SAT preparation course: this website, the practice questions and explanations in it, and the study tools around them. In these terms “we” and “us” mean Cali Review, and “you” means the person using it.
You must be 13 or older. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you pay for a plan.
By using Cali Review you accept these terms and the Privacy policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Your account
You make an account with your email address. We send you a one-time link, and a password is optional.
An account is for one student. It can be signed in on 2 devices at once, so a laptop and a phone both work. Keep your sign-in private and do not share it. If you think someone else has it, set a password and use “Sign out everywhere” on the Sign-in & security page.
We watch for unusual sign-in patterns on an account, such as many different networks in a day, and show you what we noticed on the Sign-in & security page. That watching never blocks anyone. The 2-device limit above is automatic: a third device cannot sign in until one of the others is signed out.
Free accounts and plans
Without a plan you can use the free parts of the site and the first 20 practice questions. A plan opens the rest, as the Pricing page describes.
The Monthly plan renews every month until you cancel it. The 3, 6 and 12 month plans are charged once and end by themselves.
The price you see at checkout is the price we charge. Card payments are taken by Stripe. Until card payments are switched on, the checkout is a demonstration: no money moves and no card details are collected.
You can cancel the Monthly plan in two clicks from Plan & billing in your account. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
The 15-day refund
You can ask for the full amount of your first payment back within 15 days of making it, once for each account. When we process the refund, access to the paid parts of the site ends.
The guarantee, with its conditions, is set out on the Pricing page and is part of these terms.
Using the course fairly
Use Cali Review for your own study. Please do not:
- copy, resell or share its questions, explanations or other material in bulk, or use software to collect them from the site;
- share your login with anyone;
- try to get around the free allowance or the 2-device limit; or
- try to break or overload the site, or to reach another student’s data.
The Community
Posts and replies are plain text, shown under a generated name such as “Student 4F2A” and never under your email address. Be kind and keep to the subject. Do not post anyone’s personal details, spam or anything abusive.
You keep the rights in your own words. By posting, you let us show them in the Community.
When 3 students have reported a post, it is hidden. We may remove any post. You can delete your own posts and replies at any time.
Our content, and what we promise
The course, the questions and the explanations are ours or used with permission. You may use them for your own study as these terms allow.
SAT® and PSAT/NMSQT® are registered trademarks of the College Board, and ACT® is a registered trademark of ACT, Inc. Neither organization endorses Cali Review or is affiliated with it.
We cannot promise any particular score. The only promises about results or refunds are the ones stated, with their conditions, on the Pricing and Course process pages. These terms add nothing to them and take nothing from them. A tutor’s reply is advice, not a guarantee.
If you find a mistake in a question or an explanation, tell us at hello@calireview.com. We will look at it and correct it if it is wrong.
Changes to the service, and ending your account
Features may change or pause from time to time. You can stop using Cali Review whenever you like, and you can ask us to delete your account: see Your choices, and how to delete your account in the Privacy policy.
We may close an account that breaks these rules. We tell you by email where we can.
Your data
How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
The date at the top says when these terms last changed. If you keep using Cali Review after a change, you accept the new terms. When a change matters, we say so at the top of this page.
